  1. I've been getting fraudulent emails, and also suspicious text messages. I don't know how to stop them.

  5. I just got the same email it's just plain old BS...this is so obvious I hope no one falls for it. The bad part of this is he's using the fact that he may or may not be a veteran who had served in iraq...we all love these soldiers and he should be ashamed of using them.

  6. I received this email, however there were many things different about the format and wording in the email. Is this a scam or is it to be trusted. email address is james_mackie@rogers.com

  8. I received 2 emails :first one asked if I could be trusted, so I replied yes I can, to see what would happen. The second was last night, he stated he was in a cave in Iraq and needed my help getting money out of the country, investment of 70% for him 30% me. I would be contacted by a courier who wouldn't know the content of the boxes and it would be delivered to me as "personal effects of a dead soldier ". This sickened and pissed me off because I was a medical specialist in the US Army and proudly served my country. DON'T BELIEVE THESE EMAILS!!!

  9. I too just received his email and my gut said to Google that name and I found this. He says a diplomat will be the one to receive the package since their screenings are minimum and will be delivered to me. I never served but I have family and friends who have and still are serving and to use our countries fallen soldiers as a pawn is appalling, hope he burns in hell. May God bless our soldiers and our country.

  12. I got the same email. It came from an email account under the name of Kevin Jones. He says he is Staff Sgt James Mackie, an American soldier that served in Iraq, and he has a deal for me. I responded. I think I will mess with this a- hole for a bit and then tell him off. This disgusts me! I got this email after responding to a craigslist ad for a free horse in NY. Beautiful horse that he said he was going to have put down if no one wanted her. Anyone respond to a craigslist ad before receiving this email??

  15. They will provide your info for fake credit cards and or using your name and others with your address to make fake accounts cards etc. There are so many scams out there its ridiculous. Educate yourself and loved ones check out consumeraffairs.govt.nz/scams/scam-types
Hope this helps you. I process transactions for moneygram and you would not believe some of the things I have seen/heard...so good luck and delete anything slightly odd specially if you don't know who sent it
