Thanks for posting this particular example, I was about to reply and say, just block my email as I am spammed by internet marketers all day every day, and thought I would search once more for the email address, after leaving it sit for a couple of days. It turned up only here. You have saved me from confirming my email address to these internet marketing spammers.
ReplyDeleteI had gotten this one recently. I recently read about spoofing email reply addresses, so I figured this was one of them and was going to reply. As the other anon said, I decided to search one more time for information on the email and found this. Knowing it wasn't the only email with this subject type [though different email and slightly different message] confirms to me that it isn't a legit person sending it. Thanks for posting this!
ReplyDeleteI also received the same email with the same subject line and content. Something seemed odd about this email. I am glad to find this example on this website-thank you for posting this example.
ReplyDeleteMe too! Thank you for posting example, almost word for word what I received. Usually I'll get several different emails that are similar and easy to determine they are fraud but I only got this one, so I was lucky to find your site to help me.
ReplyDeleteSame as everyone else. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThanks

ReplyDeleteGot this email but unfortunately replaid. I had to resecure my account with login approval where you will require a code sent to my phone making it tough to login even if you know the password
Thanks for the heads-up! Just saved me from replying =P
ReplyDeletewhat will happen if sent the email to hacked
ReplyDeleteI got caught!
DeleteI thought it was legit and I replied.
Now I am getting a dozen ads a day bypassing my junk mail and going straight to my inbox.
DON'T REPLY!!!!
Me too! It's driving me bonkers. Dammit. I thought i shouldn't have replied but didn't think ti would be possible to hack or anything.
DeleteI don't know how to stop the junk mail from coming through to my inbox. I've tried changing my password several times but no luck.
Jo.
If you use outlook, you can block a domain from emailing you. You'll notice that all of the spam messages will be from the same .com site. I'm sure all of the other email programs have a similar block feature.
DeleteThank you very much .. you are right all came from same .com .Ive blocked the domain
Deletethanks again :)
