Unbelievable at what length of measure the spammers are coming up with to retrieve individuals information. I just hope there isn't anyone out there forwarding their name, address, phone number, etc, etc.
I just got the same email in Australia.
ReplyDeleteI thought I'd check whether the scam was already listed online, and, what do you know?
How disgusting a scam. I mean, I've heard of some really sick things to scam people about, but this one pretty much takes the cake.
I got the same email word for word. He even sent me pictures of the child and requested $2000 for upfront court fees. This is just sick for those of us who really want a baby!
DeleteI will gladly post the discussion he and I had for you. I was also asked to pay $2,000 and sent pictures of a baby, which is what tipped me off and made me think this may be a scam. I replied to his email, no many or anything and did a Google search. I have also received emails saying someone inherited money but he could not access it and so on. I had them saved but lost the computer. Great site though
DeleteI just got the exact one today. so I decided, like others, to check out the online scene regarding it and found you. thanks for posting this stuff.
ReplyDeleteI received this email as a forward. I did not bother to Google upon reading the forwarded email, which was sent from my sister-in-law and forwarded to others as well. I did however respond to this James Wagman, as a matter of fact, I replied to this "lawyer" and have more detailed information through our discussion. I just sent him a reply about two hours ago, prior to reading this. I have not sent him the $2,000 but asked if my husband and I could meet the mother, child, and grandparents in Atlanta (where he said the mother lived); and after meeting everyone face-to-face, he and my lawyer could discuss further details. You should see the form I received to fill out along with the pictures of someone's baby. If anyone wishes to read the further discussions, feel free to email me: bridgetm5718@att.net
