Please, please, please, never give ANYONE your password. Particularly if you also give them your email address and birthdate! You are setting yourself up for trouble.
Please also remember that blogs can be read by anyone, so you should never post personal, confidential information to them.
Oh, and by the way, any email from "The Hotmail Team" that requests information from you is probably going to be a scam. This particular email has been floating around the Internet for about 10 years of so. Sure, someone makes a minor change or two, but it is pretty much the same.
